It’s Officially Begun…. Here are some answers to your questions!

The Fall Holiday Card Contest is up and running.  I can see by the number of views that people have been over to read the rules.  I hope they see how easy it is to enter!  We’ve had quite a few people register, and some are emailing in with some great questions.  I’ve emailed people back directly, but I wanted to post the answers as well.

Can digitally created cards be allowed?  YES!  As long as they are printed out, and have a matching/coordinating envelope, and are submitted in the same format as the paper cards!

Does the envelope have to be handmade?  No, it only needs to be decorated and coordinated with the card.

Can the card have been posted on another gallery?  Yes, previously seen cards and envelopes are acceptable.  They can, in fact, in accordance with our rules, remain on the other gallery.   If they’ve been previously published, you may want to check your agreement with your publisher - but they are acceptable for the contest.

Is the paragraph going to be judged?  No, not as far as grammar and punctuation goes!  It is a required element, but the cards and envelopes are the focus of the judging.

Do you need the physical cards at any point?  NO!  And that’s kind of cool, because you can make your Fall Holiday Cards, take a great picture (or scan), submit it to the contest, and then mail it out!!  If you were going to make it any way…….  why not???

Thank you for submitting your questions!  I hope this clarifies some things for people.  Please feel free to post your questions or email me.  I’ll get back to you!
