Card Making: Day 31 - Last, But Not Least

sleigh-bellssm.jpg

I had a great time making these cards.  I’ve always loved working with paper, and card making is so gratifying.  For one thing, I sure love not paying $5 for a card at the store!  By now, of course, all of my family and friends expect hand made cards - I’m sure they would think they had sunk in my esteem if I were ever to send a store bought card!  This is a 6″ x 6″ card and envelope.

I am, however, considering creating my own family greeting photo to put inside the Christmas cards.  Instead of just choosing one of their templates from the printers - I’m thinking of creating a digital 4″ x 6″ Christmas photo - using digital scrapbooking techniques, papers and embellishments - and having them printed up to put inside these 6″ x 6″ cards.  Jessica has been offering me a little tutoring in the Digital Arts, and I think I may have enough skill to create a 4″ x 6″ photo greeting.  I want to use some of those great free digital scrapbooking kits I get from my ScrapWOW membership.

If you wish to view the cards from this World Card Making Day Blog Challenge - they are in a gallery for easier browsing.    I like to choose “View Slideshow” from the left hand navigation menu and then choose ‘5 seconds’ on the frame speed and ‘640 x 640′ for the picture size.  Then all of the cards just scroll by.  It’s an easy viewing format.
