Happy Christmas Card

happychristmas72dpi.jpg

This card is another of those that will be handed to its recipient.  I usually make cards like these when they are to accompany a gift that I’m either giving or if I’m mailing the present and card in a box.  The dimensional embellishment on the envelope precludes it from going through the mail.  The tag on the envelope will simply have the recipient’s name.

This card was made a little differently.  This isn’t two sided patterned paper - in fact the backside of this paper is totally unsightly.  So the only way to use this kind of paper for cardmaking is to make a ‘card front’ and adhere it to a cardstock card.  I cut the cardstock to 12″ x 6″ and folded it in half.  Then I cut the patterned paper to 5.5″ x 5.5″, decorated it with the ribbon and adhered it to the cardstock.  I added the tag and poinsettia stickers, and it was done.  Now the inside is solid cardstock and all set for adding our Holiday greetings.
