The Sticky Side to Card Making
This is a card I made for a young neice. I know she’ll love the glittery ornament, and by stamping “Noel” in bright white - it decorated the rest of the card front.Â
I’ve been asked a few times what adhesive do I use to make up the envelopes.  I’ve used liquid adhesive (most any glue - scrapbooking glue with a dauber top, fine tip liquid glue pen, and regular paper glue), I’ve used adhesive runners (there are many brands on the market), but, honestly, the fastest and easiest way I know to make them is to use 1/4″ or 1/2″ double sided tape. I keep a dispenser of it on my desk, and just pull off a strip about 2 1/2″ long for each side.Â
I use acid free products because that is what I own, there are others who have pointed out to me that the envelope may not require it due to the fact that most people do not routinely save the envelope for archival purposes. Since I’m creating the card and envelope using acid free products - it at least allows the recipient to preserve them if she wishes - even if I realize she probably will not.
