Now It’s Dec 18th, and You Want To Get Those Cards Out

There are times when I will make a lot of envelopes at one time. I’ve streamlined the process down, and can make quite a few in a matter of minutes. I’m using the A7 (5″ x 7″) Card and Envelope Templates. Here’s what I do…. I choose all of the envelope papers I’m going to use to coordinate with my cards. Using the template, I do a quick sketch (just a couple of guide lines for each side) of the template size. Then, using a paper cutter (guillotine or rotary) I cut all of the papers - the picture above shows the stack of papers all cut and ready for folding.

Then, one by one, using the template, I fold the envelope over the insert and tape up the bottom flap. I remove the template insert and go on to the next envelope. This goes really quickly, and in less than the first quarter of a football game (I was watching the Patriot’s game as I made these) they were all done!

Now, luckily, I had already mailed out the cards I needed to earlier last week. But these are for teacher’s cards, and those I’m mailing/handing out locally. I am, however, glad they are all finished and ready to go!
