Card Making Idea - A Simple Monogram Note Card
Here’s a nice idea for a gift. You can make a set of monogrammed note cards, create their coordinating envelopes, and tie the stack of them with a pretty ribbon. My mom had called me and told me that she had lots of Christmas cards that have gone unanswered, but said that she didn’t have any nice cards to use. So, I made her up a gift set, and mailed them off to her. Hopefully she’ll finish her correspondence and get that item off of her ‘to do’ list.
I do love being able to make my own cards. Firstly, I like the options of choosing my own papers and sentiments. Also, and I can’t stress this one enough, I LOVE not paying $4 for a printed card from a store! The response I get back from my family and friends when they receive my hand made cards - well, they know I put a little something extra into sending them a card, and it’s well worth my effort!
This is a 4″ x 6″ card front adhered to a 5″ x 7″ card (A7). I created the coordinating A7 envelopes to match.
