Card Making Tips and Techniques 7

A popular tip is to use the color wheel to coordinate your color families.  Here a use of coral and olive green show a tertiary relationship of the colors.  By handstamping the background colors (alcohol inks) to match the papers I am using, I was able to coordinate the entire ‘flow’ of the card.  I also used paper with swirl designs, as well as a stamp with a swirl pattern to link the artwork with the papers used.  Then, since this is obviously a card designed for a female, I added the ribbon and buckle.

Since cardmakers have entire control over all of the items they use - why not tie all of the elements together?  Another reason why I love to make my own cards!

This is a 5″ x 7″ (A7) card.
