Another of My Favorite Techniques

I love to add my stamped images to my cards, but I always like to “frame” them in some way. Here I used Ranger Alcohol inks directly onto my glossy cardstock, and then stamped my image over the color. I then matted it with black cardstock (DCWV) and mounted it to my card (made from the Far East stack from DCWV). I added the corner embellishments from cutting out cardstock using a Sizzix die, and “aging” it with Ranger’s Perfect Pearls. I created the matching envelope using the same paper from the Far East stack, and adding the same corner embellishments to frame the address box.
Card creating for me is a great artistic outlet. I like to have my ’safety net’ in place, also. Notice how if the stamp image hadn’t worked out - I could have just redone it, and only mounted the “good” version. There are a lot of tricks that make it look like “yeah, I meant to do that!” This image just happened to work out like this the first time - but I always try to have that safety net built in to any of my projects.
If you have any card projects you’d like to add here, please email me a jpeg of it. We’d love to hear from you!
