Here’s a New Idea - What Do You Think?

This is a great product from Green Sneakers. It is called the Kreate-a-Frame kit. It makes great standing photo frames - just insert your photos in the back and voila. The interesting part is that you can cover these frames to create any look you want. You can use any paper you want. You can even start looking at these as “blanks” to cover with your own stamping, fabric, artwork of any kind!

I wanted to try my hand at doodling, but I wanted a project that would be something more than just a little ‘highlight’ to a scrapbook page. So, I used one of these frames, and created this:

Here are the steps:

I took black glossy cardstock and glued it to the front of the frame. I then took a Xacto (craft) knife and cut the cardstock to the size of the frame. I used a white Signo Uniball pen and the Chatterbox Doodle Genies, and started doodling. This was so much fun!

I altered two of my photos in Photoshop to create a black and white background and only have the color in the flowers appear. I adhered down the photos to the back of the frame, cut out the frame stand, attached to the back of the frame and set my creation on my desk!

Now, just think of the possibilities - I want to try out using scrapbook paper and glue it down to the foundation page or add it to a “scrapbooking on the wall” project. I also can’t help but think that Jessica over in digi world could create a beautiful frame to cover this with all of her digi kits at her disposal!! Hint, hint!
