Birthday Card

Jessica created and posted this card:

and then challenged me to create the matching envelope. Okay, then, off we go.

For an envelope, I’ll use the half sheet (A 9) size Kreate-A-Lope from Green Sneakers.

To match the pretty pink in the card, I used paper from the PC Slab IV - from Rob and Bob Studios, and followed the template instructions, created my envelope. To make it a matching envelope - I used background papers from the same digital scrapbooking kit, Lots O Dots by Dianne Rigdon. You’ll see, I just framed out the green paper with the pink paper and inserted a framed green address box. This was easily created using Print Shop, a 8.5″ x 11″ page facing “wide” (not tall), and the total dimension for this envelope front is 8″ x 5″. The total dimension for the made up envelope is 5 5/8″ x 8 5/8″. I just printed out my design, trimmed it to the black frame, and adhered it to the envelope front. I’ll add the address by hand in black permanent ink.

Birthday Envelope

Jessica’s card in this envelope would make a lovely presentation. I hope you’ll give this a try and create your own special cards and envelopes! Your family and friends will love it!
